Visit IAmPompous.com to receive yours before they sell out. Here's the rundown:

-They're 15 bucks. This is the least expensive entry fee for this event. If you order them via the site, there will be an additional $0.50 charged for mailing the ticket to you. If you would rather pick your ticket up in person, email info@iampompous.com to be given a pick-up location.

-All tickets will be mailed out the subsequent Friday of the day you bought your ticket. [Example: If you bought your tickets on a Tuesday, they will be mailed Friday. If you bought your tickets Thursday, they will be mailed Friday.]

-Buying a ticket will not only ensure you only pay 15 bucks, you will also have expressed entry.

-Once you purchase your ticket, your name will be placed on a list. So even if you your ticket it lost, stolen, or fraudulently reproduced, you'll still be covered.

So like I posted before, Thursday, April 16th, there will be a free concert hosted by Wayne State University. This, said, FREE concert includes performances by PHARRELL, BIG SEAN, MIKE POSNER, and some other people (who I am sure are more than competent).Right after this FREE CONCERT will be

[Finally Famous and POMPOUS APPAREL present] "Keys to the City", the OFFICIAL afterparty which is also the OFFICIAL mixtape releases of Big Sean and Mike Posner & the Brain Trust, with performances by both.

It will be held at the MAJESTIC THEATRE, THURSDAY APRIL 16TH, from 9PM-2AM.

Pre-sell tickets ARE AVAILABLE for $15 with express entry, and the door is very subject to inflation. If you're interested email info@iampompous.com before they sell out.

I'm usually the one to wrinkle my nose when people ride the "Trend Train" and ride the coat tails of whomever is hot for the next 15 minutes. But in the occassion that someone is genuinely talented, and I respect what they do--no matter if it's trendy or not-- I tell people about it. And in the very rare occassion that someone is trendy and I like them, it usually looks a little something like this:

Hello, Hello.

I'm sorry for the lack of postage that's been going on.
Over the break, Pompous Apparel was invited to be in two seperate shows both of which we are very excited about.

On January 24th, 2009 from 5pm-8pm at Wayne County Community College, we will be participating in the Detroit Hip Hop Expose with special guest panel including Charles Pugh and featuring artists Big Sean, Young Scolla, Jay Beretta, and Rita Mosley. Tickets are 5 bucks at the door.

On Friday, February the 13th, we are participating in the Fashion Massacre at Cobo Hall. Alongside many music artists are numerous other lines. Tyna McFanciee is producing it, it should be a really great show and we are very looking forward to it. Also, if any local males are interested in modeling for the show, she's holding auditons at The Star Factory on January 16th. Contact her blog for more info.

As for a Pompous/Pretty Pompous update! It's coming soon guys! Scout's honor. Keep your ears to the street!

Wayne State University's Publication,The South End News, featured Pompous Apparel in their Arts & Entertainment section. Although there are a few misconceptions..
Pompous Apparel is NOT a "hip-hop clothing line". If you must label it, label it "Streetwear". But we would prefer if you'd just refer to it as exactly what it is, Pompous apparel.

Our logo, Snuff (the big, good-looking pink fellow above in banner), is a metaphor for the obvious that goes unaddressed. The obvious (individualism, boundless confidence and limited inhibiton) & the reality that it makes those of a more timid persona so uncomfortable that they dare to address you.

Pompous Photo Shoot!!

So it finally came....and left.

Over the thanksgiving weekend, we had a photo shoot for the website via one of the best doing it, Dante Marshall. A lot of supporters came out and we are SO appreciate of them. Cliff (who, by the way, I stole all of the photos from), Midori- my color counter part, Moe Brown, Kristin Nichole, Marcus Whitmore, Trae, Philly Freshman, Thomas Walker, Chelcea Stowers, Armond Harris, Tyna McFanciee, DJ Mo Beatz....I believe that's it. Send Greg Jennings to the Pro Bowl

So here's the thing.
There's this guy named Greg Jennings. Good Guy. He's from Kalamazoo, MI and he plays as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers now. He was drafted in the second round, 52nd pick, in the 2006 NFL draft. In that time he's earned 22 touchdowns, 2,609 receiving yards, and 162 receptions. In high school he was a tri-athlete, earning all conference titles in football, basketball, and track. In football, he played four different positions as a a three-time letterman and was listed 11th on the "Fab 50" Rankings for the Detroit Free Press as a senior and was voted seventh in the running for Mr. Basketball of Michigan--he is a very talented athlete needless to say.

Once he got to college, Western Michigan, he finished his football career with 238 receptions for 3539 receiving yards and 39 touchdowns. He became the 11th player to gain over 1,000 yards three times in a college career.

Impressed Yet?

How about this. He's just your regular good guy. Ladies, he married his high school sweetheart in 2005.. I guess chivalry isn't completely dead. Together they have a one year old daughter and he still goes back to Kalamazoo to visit his family and friends that supported him his whole career. As a matter of fact, the mayor of Kalamazoo recently announced that December 2nd is Greg Jennings Day. A whole day! That's love. He's just an all around decent guy.

So, let's help this all around decent guy. We gotta send him to the Pro-Bowl. With 10,000 votes we can help him get there. I know this sounds like a bad infomercial script but let's help this brother out. All you have to do it go to this site and select his name under the NFC WIDE RECEIVERS ballot. You can vote as many times a day as you want but voting ends December 9th. So yeah, let's help him out.

So the Fabric Of Life Fashion Show in Toldeo was a success. There was a great turn out and everyone was dressed to thoroughly impress. Thank You Thank You Thank You to all of Finally Famous especially Brandon W & Big Sean, Phil and Freshman Clothing for representing us to the fullest and everyone else who supported us as well. Naturally, my mind remembered to grab everything except the digital but Ashley "Josh" Allen came through with the video camera and did her filmography thing. The video should be done in a week or two and I'll post that for you as soon as I can. Stay tuned to the blog though, we have a few surprises coming up.

Buahaha...the time has come, yet again.
Pompous Apparel is alive and well.

Where are my manners? My name is Blue Skye (hello.) and I am the head designer and 1/2 of Pompous Apparel along with my partner Sebastian. The pink fellow above, his name is Snufulugus Wishuwas but he'd prefer if you called him Snuff. He's the protector of all things Pompous. He really doesn't like to fuck around. I originally started this line almost 2 years ago; time heals all ignorance, yes?
Pompous Apparel consists of 3 similarly different lines; Pompous for men, Pretty Pompous for women, and The Bleu Label.
Pompous and Pretty Pompous are both basic apparel lines created to serve you mainstream; in your local sneaker shop, specialty store, etc. The Bleu Label is--special.

The upcoming collection, set for release in January 2009, is called Back To The Future. Think--- Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" had a kid with Star Trek: The Next Generation..
..i know, right?

So. Back to the Future. We recently received a shipment of our blank clothing that's now off to the screen printer's to produce what will soon be your new obsession.
